Taken together, the Renault–Nissan Alliance could be the world’s fourth largest automaker. Nissan may be the leading Japanese brand in China, Russia and Mexico.In 2014 Nissan was the biggest car manufacturer in North America.Nissan will be the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, with global sales of over 320,000 all-electric vehicles by April 2018. The top-selling vehicle with the carmaker's lineup will be the Nissan LEAF, an all-electric car as well as the world's top-selling highway-capable plug-in electric car of all time.In January 2018, Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa announced that most Infiniti vehicles launched from 2021 will probably be hybrid vehicles or all-electric vehicles.
